Play Smarter, Swing Better

I have worked with "Coach" Corey since 2006, when I was 36 years old and just learning this crazy game. With his help, I quickly moved to 18 holes and became a golf junkie. I have continued with lessons for 11 years...a "tune-up" as I call it now. He can watch me swing 10 times and say, Okay, here we go. Coach doesn't try to change everything, but works with what the student comes in with and works from there. We set goals each season, and it's a thrill when I can stop by and tell him about an awesome round or a tournament win. I credit my improvement and love for golf to Coach Corey. Can't wait for season 2017!!

I have been taking classes from Corey for several years and have found his demeanor and approach to be very calming and positive. Learning golf mechanics and golf IQ is not easy, but Corey seems to teach it comfortably. I plan to stick around for many more years, if he can tolerate me.

I have taken Corey's winter golf clinic for the past several years, have taken private lessons, and highly recommend Corey as a golf professional. He is very knowledgeable and utilizes video technology to show proper form and diagnose swing flaws. He is very serious about wanting to help you improve and provides valuable insight through swing analysis and proper drills to improve your swing.
The winter indoor clinic is extremely helpful to maintain your form during the winter months and help to get ready for the next season. I feel I have improved my form through increased swing speed and making better ball contact by taking Corey's winter clinic. In coping with an injury, I developed some very bad habits and lost my natural swing. Corey did a great job in identifying and correcting it. By taking lessons in the winter, it wasn't as hard to begin playing in the spring because not too much rust had accumulated over the long break. He was always professional, but he never seemed condescending, which pros can sometimes be with mediocre players. Corey was a pleasure, and his instruction helped me lessen the extreme frustration I had felt before starting our lessons.
My scores improved by at least 12 strokes a round, and this generated a lot of questions as to why I had improved. It was always my pleasure to recommend playing partners to seek Corey's advice.

Corey is an outstanding teacher...thanks to his instructions have cut 10 strokes off my score...from the low 100s …now low 90s… more importantly enjoy the game again...he is an excellent communicator...every lesson results in an actionable technique you can use immediately...have a check-in lesson once or twice a year.....keeps me on track...

I took 8 half-hour lessons from Corey over the winter last year. We worked on my short and middle iron play. Following the lessons and as I entered into my playing season within two months, my handicap dropped 2 strokes. I attribute the improvement directly to what I was able to learn from Corey during those lessons. I plan to take further instructions from Corey over the winter months again this coming year.

I am a fan of both the Pennington Golf Center and Corey L. Krusa's Golf Academy! I've been a golf fan and played golf since 1968. However, rather than learn golf the right way, I played for too many years, thinking I could fix my issues on my own, before enrolling in the Golf Academy winter program in 2016. In the very first lesson, Corey discovered and fixed my number one problem, one I struggled with, thinking I could fix it on my own, and one my previous lessons did not detect. I've signed on for several more lessons with Corey, and he has helped every time. What I think distinguishes him from other golf professionals is his support and interest in each of his students. Quick with an encouraging word, willing to discuss his student's game (even when it's not during your lesson), and his encouragement to play better golf, he is a positive support of the player and the game. I would not hesitate to recommend him and the Academy for any player who has an interest in improving their ability to play golf. Unlike any other game, I've found that taking lessons early on from a qualified professional will increase one's success and enjoyment of the game. Watching others struggle on the golf range, I could only recommend that they seek out Corey and his program. It will save them years of struggling to improve their golf game and their enjoyment!
